Yesterday was World Wish Day and residents at Burscough Manor Care Home have been adding their wishes to a ‘Wishing Tree’ situated in the foyer for the past week.
The Wishing Tree is an opportunity for residents to ask for whatever they would like, with the staff working at Burscough Manor doing their best to make their wishes come true (apart perhaps from the Man U. one...)
And one of the residents has already had their wish come true; Carole Davidson, 81, asked to see some horses – which husband and wife duo Joan and Bob Liggett, who also reside at the home, managed to arrange through their family.
The family’s pony arrived at Burscough Manor much to Carole’s delight, and all residents got involved. Carole was made up to see the pony, saying: “I love all the animals that come to visit us at our home, it makes me feel so happy.”
